Dr. Anthony Harrell, DPT, CSCS has performed numerous tactical athlete consultations with a specific focus on wildland firefighters, has written numerous articles surrounding firefighter health and performance, and has treated patients as a licensed clinician in orthopedics and home health since 2016. Both have performed content development and online personal training for individuals of all athletic levels over the course of several years.
With a shared passion for living a life of fulfillment, Dr. Hon and Dr. Harrell co-founded The Human Resilience Project.
“The Human Resilience Project was founded out of our dissatisfaction with the current healthcare system, which emphasizes reactiveness rather than prevention. Our mission is to change the world by empowering people with evidence-based content and actionable tips that they can use to make a change, right now.”
Training Philosophy
“We are made up of the average of our actions, so we don't dwell on the past, but aim to stay consistent with our choices throughout our day, week, etc." - Dr. Harrell & Dr. Hon
Both Dr. Harrell and Dr. Hon played sports growing up and continued to perform at a high physical capacity after college. After graduate school, “we wanted to stay connected to the athletic communities, but also show the 'every-day' individual the benefits and accessibility of a more fulfilled and complete life. We took lessons learned in 'the field' and coupled them with our education to develop digestible tools for everyone to arm themselves. Our goal is to help everyone maximize the life they live with the tools they have.” An incredible way to develop sports, fitness, and wellness all into one passion!

What Do You See As Your Greatest Strength?
“Our ability to see people as humans and not just another number or face-in-the-crowd. Training is as much of an art as it is a science, and everyone that comes to us has a unique story that shapes who they are and how they would best respond to a plan. People have great potential and it's being able to communicate with them to guide them towards unlocking that power which we have found very beneficial along the way."
What is Your Favorite Exercise or Activity?
“We both enjoy lifting weights, surfing, and going on daily walks. If it involves moving, we typically find some enjoyment from it!” - Dr. Harrell & Dr. Hon
What is Your Favorite Quote?
“Be impatient with actions and patient with results." - Dr. Harrell & Dr. Hon
The Human Resilience Project offers one-on-one sessions and meets with their clients regularly. Their Macronutrient Plan and Virtual Exercise Training Sessions are customized to each of their clients' goals. A consistent variable you will find in their prescribed training is revolved around mastering basic movement patterns, such as: squats, deadlifts, push, press, and pulling exercises. Individuals working with The Human Resilience Project will experience an emphasis on mindfulness and constant communication from Dr. Harrell and Dr. Hon to their clients in order to reinforce that they are maximizing their given tools to mitigate risks and optimize performance.
